The Lake Agassiz Certified Development Company (LACDC), founded in 2004, is a non-profit corporation, whose mission is to assist in maintaining and enhancing the economic viability of communities throughout North Dakota, with particular emphasis on southeastern North Dakota. In this capacity LACDC provides financial resources and technical assistance, through federal, state, and local partnerships, to the state's small business enterprises.
The LACDC is staffed by the professionals of the Lake Agassiz Development Group, a principal rural economic development resource providing guidance and important coordinating functions to business and local development groups. The professional staff of the LACDC has over 30 years of economic and community development planning and project development managing the SBA MicroLoan program, the USDA Rural Development Intermediary Re-lending Program (IRP), the U.S. Department of Treasury, Certified Community Development Financial Institution Program, the Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant program, and the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Revolving Loan Fund. The activities of the LACDC are partnered with other local, state and federal programs to provide financial conduits for project development.
